Google Analytics cookies remain off unless a visitor explicitly accepts optional analytics.
Default position
On an untouched visit, Battery Codebook does not load Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics and does not set Google Analytics cookies. Selecting “Continue without analytics” keeps that position. Cloudflare may use essential delivery and security mechanisms when serving a request; those are not used by Battery Codebook for advertising.
Stored analytics choice
One first-party local browser value remembers whether analytics was accepted or declined. It contains only that choice and remains until it is changed through “Privacy choices” or cleared in browser storage. It is required to respect the visitor’s selected privacy state and is not used to measure behaviour.
Google Analytics cookies after acceptance
After acceptance, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as_ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie to distinguish browsers and maintain an analytics session. Their normal maximum duration is up to two years and may be renewed by later consented activity, subject to browser controls and Google’s current service configuration. No advertising-cookie category is enabled.
Change or withdraw the choice
Use “Privacy choices” in the footer on any page. Choosing “Continue without analytics” stops future analytics collection, clears applicable accessible Google Analytics cookies and keeps the Google tag absent on later pages. Browser controls can also clear local site data. Following an external source or correction link opens a separate website with its own controls. See Privacy for providers, purposes, data handling and the contact route.
